Greetings and Salutations! Welcome to the website of Vancouver-based artist, Vanessa Gidden. Vanessa creates original artworks with a focus on acrylic painting. Her current themes involve floral explorations as well as landscapes. She is interested in playing within negative space and the breaking up of different atmospheres to create dynamic compositions. The cultural significance behind the flower as well as the beach is what inspires her to paint: She understands the complexity and infinite variety of the flower and feels the replenishing effects of the beach and nature.
